Chief Marketing Officer, Digital

Our client is a healthcare consumer company on a mission to transform healthcare and the patient experience. They have asked us to assist them in their search for a Chief Marketing Officer, Digital.

Major tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Prioritizes patient/customer needs to ensure outstanding user experience.
  • Designs, articulates, and delivers on the strategy and vision for the brand.
  • Drives daily execution and enhancement of the company’s overall marketing strategy.
  • Designs, implements, and executes high-impact programs for strong ROI, demand generation, and lead conversion.
  • Builds and leads a team of enthusiastic and high-performing marketing and creative professionals.
  • Implements and manages the marketing budget.
  • Creates and implements product roadmap.
  • Interfaces with investment community when appropriate.
  • Takes a quantitative approach to marketing strategy and performance.
  • Uses an analytical approach to problem solving and scaling growth through a customer-centric lens.
  • Uses data and customer insights to develop a story for the brand, as well as enhance the relationship between the consumer and the brand.
  • Applies customer insights to all marketing initiatives, including digital, social, mobile, etc., to enhance the customer experience.
  • Designs and develops the digital engagement strategy, customer digital experience and journey mapping.
  • Develops and measures key metrics around the business including user acquisition, conversion rates, engagement rates, satisfaction, and renewal rates.
  • Builds data driven practices around actionable consumer insights.
  • Crafts effective launch plans including messaging and pitch.
  • Drives customer insights and market validation.
  • Plays an active role in shaping the company’s public profile and steering the conversation with/between consumers.
  • Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to develop, deliver, and communicate value propositions to consumers.
  • Ensures the organization's message is distributed across multiple channels/platforms to targeted audiences.
  • Oversees all media relations including social media and all methods of advertising.
  • Develops segmentation, competitive analysis/market intelligence, prospecting, lead generation, product and market development, pricing, promotions, communications and budgets, sales force effectiveness, strategic planning, services units and revenue retention and growth.
  • Handles corporate communications to deliver a brand-consistent message.
  • Heightens awareness of the company in the community and marketplace.

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 15+ years of progressive marketing experience with notable consumer companies with best in class digital/e-commerce track record required.
  • Requires experience and demonstrated success as VP of Marketing or as CMO.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Must have exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of building and leading a successful creative team.
  • Must be technologically savvy.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing digital transformation in business processes and strategy, preferably in a leadership and strategic capacity required.
  • Requires a deep background in brand marketing with experience establishing, implementing, and continuously improving brand strategy.
  • Demonstrated success building solid connections between brands and consumers.
  • Must be a data-driven and analytically oriented “out-of-the box” creative thinker.
  • Experience managing budgets required.
  • Requires the proven ability to build a brand for multiple audiences.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, required.
  • The ability to make rapid, analytically informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Requires expertise in the business use of social networking, digital marketing, and digital technology.
  • Must have experience developing new marketing capabilities.
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of how e-commerce and technology drives growth required.
  • Knowledge and experience with “Profit & Loss” as it relates to marketing spending on internal e-commerce platforms required.
  • Must have demonstrated experience with new product planning and product launches.
