Vice President, Investor Relations

Our client is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing novel recombinant viral vector vaccines against cancer and infectious diseases. We have been asked to identify candidates for their Vice President, Investor Relations.

Major tasks and responsibilities will include: 

  • Develops the overall strategy for investor relations across multiple franchises in the US including full planning and P&L accountability.
  • Oversees revenue growth and profitability of strategic alliances with managing investor preparations and execution to optimize performance, driving launch and planning for early pipeline products.
  • Achieves competitive, best-in-class, maximizing long term value for all products in the US.
  • Develops and deploys strategies to achieve investor goals with clear KPIs.
  • Improves launch readiness to maximize uptake and market share at launch consistent with company goals and the long-term strategic plans.
  • Leads thorough and well-coordinated input into global brand strategy, ensuring close integration and flawless execution of marketing strategies and tactics pre-launch and early post-launch.
  • Develops innovative commercial strategies including investor approaches to ensure success in an evolving healthcare environment.
  • Supports strategic portfolio development activities.
  • Supports commercial assessments, new product development, forecasting, product in-licensing and early planning and execution of lifecycle management strategies.
  • Continuously monitors competitor marketing activities, trends and progress in marketing.
  • Adapts and implements promising new techniques, including insight generation, positioning, market segmentation, communication channels and tools, etc.
  • Proactively partners with other divisions and functions, both locally and globally, to ensure cross company collaboration.

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field of study required. PhD in a relevant field of study highly preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 15 years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience.
  • Requires documented experience as a leader in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
  • Strong sense of commitment and ownership required.
  • Must have solid interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires demonstrated strategic thinking abilities.
  • Effective and efficient operational management style required.
