Manager, Marketing Communications

Our client is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company. They have asked us to assist them in their search for a Manager, Marketing Communications.

Major tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Serves as a key member of the marketing team.
  • Provides support and assistance to key marketing initiatives and tactics for the company’s lead brand.
  • Maintains a master list of conventions with associated details.
  • Completes and submits exhibit applications.
  • Negotiates with meeting management companies, ensures fair pricing, manages convention/exhibit budget, and coordinates payments.
  • Secures and registers internal personnel for various meetings.
  • Manages hotel room blocks for national meetings.
  • Coordinates and leads pre-show meetings
  • Assists with the coordination of promotional speaker events with external vendor, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Collaborates with vendor partner on venue selection, speaker coordination and travel, invitation development, slide decks, program evaluations and compliance reporting.
  • Collaborates with Field Sales leadership.
  • Serves as an administrative resource for medical, legal, and regulatory review of promotional review.
  • Remote presentation of sales training materials to new company hires, as needed.
  • Manages literature inventory, online ordering and relationship with outside fulfillment vendor.
  • Fulfills ad hoc literature requests from internal teams.
  • Reports into the Senior Director, Marketing Communications.

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline required.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, with a minimum of 3 years of marketing experience.
  • Commercial Learning and Development and/or Sales Training experience highly preferred.
  • The ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment is required.
  • Requires highly skilled Microsoft Office skills, including SharePoint.
  • Experience with Veeva Promo Mats highly preferred.
  • Must be highly organized and able to plan/prioritize work activities.
