Director, Strategic Marketing Immunology

Our client is global biopharmaceutical company. They have asked us to assist them in their search for a Director, Strategic Marketing Immunology.

Major tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Shapes a cross-functional, integrated launch strategy that addresses the key needs of patient identification and recognition, prescriber awareness, access to therapy, and patient mobilization.
  • Partners with Medical to devise a communication approach for the unique study results and medical education to advance understanding of patient needs, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Partners to address Access needs of Patients to create preferential access for patients in collaboration with the market access and pricing team.
  • Partners with Global teams on messaging, long-term and OUS integration.
  • Sets the partnership framework with patient and stakeholder advocacy organizations.
  • Partners with Global and Regulatory on US label development.
  • Builds communication and engagement plans for Health systems, Prescribers, and Patients to prepare for 2019 full-scale launch engagement which synchronizes with portfolio communication priorities.
  • Develops relevant market research and forecasting plans to measure and evaluate company impact.
  • Plans, implements, and monitors investments towards achieving objectives.
  • Works across cross-functional teams within and US-based organization to ensure consistency and alignment in all operational initiatives.

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree (MBA) highly preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Business Unit Strategy experience highly preferred.
  • Thinks strategically with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Requires experience writing and presenting strategic business plans
  • Must have strategic and tactical marketing experience, as well as, Market Access experience.
  • The demonstrated ability to “connect the dots”.
  • The ability to coordinate with the decision makers and indirect influencers to move projects in a prompt and timely fashion.
  • Must have the ability to work across cross-functional teams a must.
  • Solid understanding of the Patient diagnosis journey in the US and uses this to define the optimal points of influence and greatest opportunities, including the role of providers in the diagnosis, testing, and effective treatment of patients.
  • Strong project management and vendor management skills required.
