Vice President, Medical Affairs Hematology

Our client is a global pharmaceutical company. They have asked us to assist them in their search for a Vice President, Medical Affairs Hematology.
Major tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Provides leadership and oversight of the US strategy.
- Accountable for guidance, oversight, and input related to the development and execution of the clinical strategy.
- Ensures entire Franchise strives for excellence, quality, compliance and clinical innovation across all of its programs coordination, medical accuracy, and timeliness.
- Reviews strategy for US Medical Affairs including exploratory indications within the hematology portfolio.
- Accountable for the review and approval process of IIT concepts.
- Provides oversight during the conduct of trials.
- Reviews and approves interim and final publications, manuscripts, or abstracts.
- Develops relationships with leading medical experts.
- Establishes and influences external investigators to participate in trials or to propose their own studies in areas of interest.
- Establishes successful collaborations key stakeholders.
- Manages annual budgets, conducts ROI assessments of programs, ensures proper execution/collaboration of clinical trials and updates senior management on current and future product development strategies/issues for area of expertise.
We seek candidates with the following qualifications:
- Must have a Medical Degree.
- Board Certification in Oncology or Hematology highly preferred.
- Requires a minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in clinical research.
- Must have prior team leadership experience.
- Requires experience developing strategy and direction in a highly matrixed environment.
- Scientific medical research experience in a relevant specialty with demonstrated record of accomplishments required.
